Join the Dodge Center Library this summer, and keep your brain active! Earn special library badges by completing reading and activity challenges this summer.

Pick up a challenge sheet at the library any time you stop by! Mark off the challenges as you complete them, and bring your sheet to the library to pick up your unique badge. Collect 20 or more to earn a free sketch pad! The challenge runs all summer long: June 1 through August 2.

What else can we do?

We have lots of activities this summer, including:

  • Guided Birdwatching Workshop June 4 at 10am at Creek Park.

  • Chicken Folk Art Painting workshop on June 24 at 1pm at the community center (registration required)
  • Ice Cream Making on June 27 at 4pm at the library
  • Jim Jayes Magic Show on July 16 at 10am at the Community Center.
  • Doubletree Leatherworks Possibilities Pouch making on July 22 at 1pm at the library (registration required)
  • Cardboard Cat Castles on August 10 at 10am at the library.
  • Jim Jayes Puppet Show on August 13 at 10am at the Community Center.

Ages 0-5:

  • Storytime Mondays 10:00am  – Read, sing & play with us at the library!
  • Outdoor Storytime Wednesdays 10:00am  – Outdoor reading & playtime at Lions’ Park!
  • Sensory Play Wednesdays 11:00am  – Touch, smell, feel, and explore activities!
  • Playdate @ the Library Fridays 10:00am   – Connect with other families while you play.

Elementary age:

  • Building Club Tuesdays 10:00am  – Construct with Lego, K’Nex, Magnatiles & more!
  • Slimy Science Tuesdays 1:00pm  – Create slime & other experiments at the library!
  • STEM Adventures Wednesdays 1:00pm  – Explore electricity, robotics, hands-on science!
  • Game Club Thursdays 1:00pm  – Hang out and play board games and video games.
  • Craft Club Fridays 1:00pm  – Explore with painting, clay, bean mosaics and more!

Tweens/Teens:

  • Slimy Science Tuesdays 1:00pm  – Create slime & other experiments at the library!

In the library, you can find the hidden 3D printed axolotl, guess how many Rolos are in the jar, and drop off your coloring page to be artist of the week!
